Statute of Association
(Fundamental Parts)
1 - Establishment
Is founded in Scerni a no-profit Association called ACCADEMIA DELLA VENTRICINA, to promote and preserve the typical vastese salted meat called "Ventricina".
2 - Head Office
Association's Head Office is located at "Fattoria dell'Uliveto" (Olive-grove's Farm) in c.da Ragna 59 - Scerni. The Association can establish branch offices in other cities, even outside Italy.
3 - Duration
Association has a term of thirty years from the date of foundation. The whole assembly of fellows and members will delay the termination date with a decision voted by absolute majority.
4 - Purposes
The Association purposes are:
- To promote actions to guard the name of Ventricina linked to communities of High and Middle Vastese and all villages belongs to that area: Cupello, Monteodorisio, Scerni, Casalanguida, Carpineto Sinello, Gissi, Furci, S.Buono, Liscia, Guilmi, Montazzoli, Roccaspinalveti, Fraine, Carunchio, Palmoli, Fresagrandinaria, Lentella, Celenza sul Trigno, Torrebruna, Castiglione, S. Giovanni Lipioni, Schiavi d'Abruzzo, Castelguidone, Tufillo, Dogliola.
- To promote valorization and merchandising in Italy and other countries, even by fairs and festivals.
- To promote advertising, editorial and marketing enterprises (in the sense of Association purposes) to support Members, Fellows and local activities.
- To develope research in Universities and Research Centers to improve pigs' races to transform in Ventricina.
- To coordinate pigs' breeders and transformation laboratories.
- To promote tasters' courses, by fees and money contributions by local, national and european Institutions, to train experts able to make panel-tests.
- To do everything is possible to achieve Association's purposes.
5 - Members and Fellows
The Member is involved in production and merchandise of Ventricina such as farmers, breeders, butchers, resellers belonging to High and Middle Vastese communities.
The Fellow supports Academy's purposes as a consumer of Ventricina and/or expert in delicatessen tasting.
